Three Lochs Drive Smash that follow button to never miss an amazing photo from Scotland! Close to Glasgow, there's a place called the Three Lochs Forest Drive. It's a nice we 7 mile stretch of dirt road which you could take your car on and drive by three lochs: Lochan Reòidhte, Loch Drunkie and Loch Achray. Instead of driving, we thought it would be better if we just walk around and explore the area. I had always wanted a shot of a lonely tree in the woods, and I thought I had finally found one. Looking back at it now, I am not too sure about it. I wish there were fewer distracting elements, especially in the background. What do you think? Drop me a comment! The pink castle! To never miss an amazing photo of Scotland, smash that follow button! Although this is what you see on social media, in reality Craigivar Castle isn't really that pink. Needless to say, it's still very pretty! It started its life around 1576 and was completed around 1626 by William Forbes. It's truly impressive that it has been preserved so well over the centuries, a testament to all the people that looked after it. One thing I find really interesting about it is that, in accordance with its former owner's wishes, there is no artificial lighting on the upper floors. This means that the only way to enjoy the historic artefacts and art is under natural light, just like it was intended! So what do you think of this one? I wouldn't mind being there right now! This image is a blur, kinda like the last couple of months. I saw you guys really enjoyed the sunset shots from Fife and I tried to find some other compositions I took. The one I liked had a bit of camera shake as unfortunately it was really windy when I shot. I opted to add more blur in post and this is what I came up with. Let me know what you think down below! Here's another angle from Leven beach during that amazing February sunset, this time overlooking the oil rigs in the Firth of Forth. I've spent a lot of time around the highlands and not enough around south of Scotland and Fife. Maybe I should point the @mysaturdaydrive mobile this way after (if ever) the lockdown is lifted). This is what it was like on a chilly February evening somewhere on a beach on the lovely coast of Fife. I am very much a summer person and enjoy the hot weather. Happy Coosday! Wasn't able to post yesterday because of building the new editing rig, as you all saw from the stories. Thank you all for the compliments! Dunure Castle Trying to get back now through backlogs of photos and adventures before we went to Skye. Here's a shot of Dunure Castle ruins with some perfectly timed birdies. Located in South Ayrshire, Dunure Castle has been overlooking the coast since the 13th century. Dunure was also one of the first locations featured in Outlander, more precisely it's harbor. Speaking of the harbor, we had some awesome fish and chips at the local cafe. If you are ever visiting, definitely check it out. What do you think? Let me know down below! The Old Man No not me, but this infamous landmark on the Isle of Skye. I suppose this is a bonus to my series from Skye. See you soon! Well, I hope you guys have enjoyed my photos from Skye. It was an amazing trip, made some new friends and took some incredible photos. It has been a pleasure to share the trip with you over the last few weeks. Massive shout out to Callum from @callum_says @callum_tours for hooking us up with accommodation and for driving us safely and swiftly for the entire weekend! We are booked again for another long weekend at the end of October. Fingers crossed the current situation improves so we can head over! Eilean Donan I have posted a few photos of this photogenic castle before, but never from this angle. This is probably one of my favourite images I have taken during my trip to Skye in February, and probably one of my all time favourites! I just think it looks so good. In retrospect though, I wish I could have framed the castle in the middle, but given that my bum was very intimate with spiky gorse while doing this, my range of motion was limited. Portree Harbour There is nothing like the softness of the morning light, is there? Here we have Portree Harbour waking up to a cold crisp first day of March. I personally prefer the light just before the sun rises. But in this case, heavy clouds covered the sun just after it starting peaking over the horizon and the resulting mood, I thought, had to be photographed! I doubt you've seen this angle of the harbour before, so please let me know if you like it in the comments section below! Portree Portree is a peaceful fishing village. It only dates back 200 years and owes its existence to Lord MacDonald. The name in Gaelic means the King's Port. Nowadays, it's arguably the heart of Skye and can easily be used as a hub to branch out to all the corners of the island. Do you like this one? Let me know down below! The gift that keeps on giving! What I am talking about is Scotland of course. This is another shot from Skye, literally on the roadside.
