Rattray Head Lighthouse

Situated just 10 miles North of Peterhead, Rattray Head is a relatively secluded beach on the northeast coast of Scotland. It’s main attraction is the Lighthouse which stands 14m above the water. A cool bit of history relating to the lighthouse is that it was bombed 3 times by an enemy plane during World War 2. The lantern was machine gunned and surprisingly no one was injured during the attack.
